Los Angeles Animal Services www.laanimalservices.comCastaic, Agoura Hills, and West Valley Animal Shelters - These are the shelters that we network most closely with. But many of the shelters house equines in transition and need adopters & foster caretakers now. Horses do accrue euthanization deadlines alongside dogs & cats, unfortunately, so we need to pull together to keep the shelters from getting full.

San Bernadino County Animal Services sbcounty.gov/acc/Devore & Big Bear Animal Shelter auction off their horses regularly. We are an Adoptions Partner for this Animal Care Center and will accept horses that do not receive a winning bid. Bids are taken at the shelter in person. This is, unfortunately, a high risk way of rehoming horses to loving permanent adoptive homes. So, we would like to get the word out to local adopters who can provide loving forever homes before these horses are bid to people who may want to resell them at slaughter auctions.
